Where to stay: guesthouses in Xirokambi

A great place to stay

As Xirokambi has so much to offer, it is worthwhile to stay for a few nights at least.

You can choose between the small but high quality Guesthouse Taleton (9), or stay at Matoula’s guesthouse (8). These accommodations are located in the village. Restaurants, cafes and shops are just a few minutes away.

Guesthouse Taleton

The Guesthouse Taleton took its name from the highest peak of Taygetos. Arriving at the guesthouse you will be impressed by the old olive oil tank that dominates the entrance of the building, which was used in the 19th century as a rural warehouse and a place of silk production.

Its 10 rooms are individually decorated. Some with fireplace, some with kitchenette, either single-spaced or small apartments of two levels.

In the beautiful outdoor courtyard you can taste an excellent traditional breakfast or enjoy the tranquility of the Greek countryside sipping your coffee.

Matoula’s Guesthouse

Located 150 meters fom the village square, you find Matoula’s Gusethouse. Matoula is a superb host, who will give you a warm welcome.

The house is 135sqm and consists of: 4 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, open space with fireplace, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. It is equipped with all the necessary utensils to prepare a complete meal. It can accommodate up to 8 people.

The traditional tavern Paralia is based on the ground floor and a great place to enjoy your dinner.
